Amount: £7,500 or £10,000

Deadline: 22 September and 17 November 2014

Creative English Innovation Fund

Run by FaithAction in association with Queen Mary University the fund offers funding to registered charities who use innovative methods to teach basic English to Non-english Speakers. Applicants must be able to spend the grant within 6 months and demonstrate sustainability beyond the funded period. Preference is given to projects reaching Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Somali communities.

The Edge Foundation Innovation and Development Fund

A new grant programme with the objective of supporting innovation and development within technical, practical and vocational training. All applications must support Edge’s Six Steps for Change and address at least two of the following three aims: 1) Support the creation of new institutions 2) Support the development of profound employer engagement 3) Address areas of skills shortages for the UK economy.

The Barcapel Foundation Grant

The Barcapel Foundation provides financial assistance to registered charities in Great Britain for projects promoting their three priority areas; namely health, heritage and youth. On occasion the foundation has funded projects by non-registered organisations and individuals who have charitable aims.

BBC Children in Need: Small and Main Grants

The small grants scheme is for up to £10,000 for a single year, where as the main grant is for over £10,000 per year for up to 3 years.

Charities and not-for-profit organisations working with children and young people of 18 years suffering from disabilities, illness, abuse, psychological difficulties or situations of deprivation, can apply.

The Ironmongers’ Community

They want to support projects that provide opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people to fulfil their potential. They are particularly interested is enabling primary age children to develop a strong foundation for the future.

Clore Duffield Foundation

The Clore Poetry and Literature Awards are open to schools, colleges, community groups and other arts/cultural organisations, and fund poetry and literatures for under 19s.

The foundation funds projects where it is apparent that need is greatest. They support a very wide range of charitable activities rather than specific priorities for funding or regional bias.

Grants available for SMEs who have been trading for two years, based in Leicester/shire and have plans for growth and the creation of jobs in the last 12 months. Funding covers all sectors except retail and care and prioritising those in the manufacturing sector. Grants are available for capital expenditure: machinery, property improvement, building expansions and infrastructure improvement. Match funding and job creation required.
