Dorothy is the Chief Executive of CASE and has worked in the co-operative and social enterprise field for 30 years. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, with a particular interest in equality and diversity. She is committed to promoting business to women, especially women of colour and from newly arrived communities.
Sangeeta, “Sindy” Modha is an entrepreneur and a long standing, dedicated Secretary of the Leicestershire Asian Business Association. She became a LABA Board Director in 2001 and helped her husband set up his own company, ‘The Finance Lab’, the following year.

Rani is a Director of Midland Corsetry and plays an active role in LABA, following a career in broadcast journalism for both the BBC and Midland Asian Television Station. In 2012 she participated in the Conservative Party’s social action programme in Rwanda; an experience she found very humbling and rewarding.
In March 2001, Zee launched Zfitness, a community based ladies-only fitness class. Starting off as a single Zumba class in the city centre, today ZFitness provides a variety of classes, as well as nutrition forums at community venues across Belgrave, Highfields & Evington. This is in addition to her high powered job with Job Centre Plus.

Surekha Chouhan started her own property business in the early nineties and in 2008 set up Really Flexible Care, which specialises in residential and respite care for autistic young people. Her latest venture, Mint Securities, offers the convenience of local Safety Deposit facilities, with two branches in Leicester and more planned nationwide.

Starting as a broadcast journalist, Caroline has spent over 12 years working in the media either as a journalist or in PR. Her local work includes launching the new therapy wing at Rainbows Hospice, and the launch of Highcross Leicester. Caroline set up her own consultancy in May 2013, which now represents over 30 businesses across the Midlands.
